For a peaceful experience on the water, guests can enjoy fishing on the lake, guided by our expert ghillie. Those wishing to venture beyond the estate can also enjoy horse riding at a family-run equestrian centre, approximately 20 minutes from Adare Manor.

Yes, all of our nature and exploration activities are suitable for children, although we strongly recommend that children are supervised by an adult at all times.
For the fishing experience, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. The Woodland Walk is particularly popular with younger guests, featuring a range of child-friendly elements including a magical fairy trail.

For your comfort and safety, we kindly ask that you contact our Concierge team prior to your first cycle on the grounds, who will be delighted to assist with some essential health and safety instructions. Once this is complete, bicycles are conveniently located at the front entrance and are available to enjoy at your leisure.

While horse riding is not available on site, we are delighted to recommend a charming family-run equestrian centre just a 20-minute drive from Adare Manor, offering riding experiences for all ages and abilities.

Guests are invited to enjoy fishing on the estate’s private lake, offering a peaceful way to take in the beauty of the Irish countryside. With all equipment provided, you can row out in our traditional Galway boats and fish for brown and rainbow trout.
Our expert ghillie will be on hand to offer guidance and help you develop your fishing skills, making this activity suitable for all levels of experience. This means families and children are very welcome. Each boat accommodates up to three guests, and children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
