To serve each guest within your area of work to the highest standards reflective of 5* Leading Hotel of the World criteria.

Guest Service of food & beverage requirements to tables within the restaurant.

Mise en place – preparation for service, which includes setting the tables within the restaurant, preparing butters and breads, water jugs, wine glasses, cutlery polishing, silver polishing, napkin folding.

To be responsible for a station within the restaurant which includes taking orders, reporting orders to the kitchen, bringing the agreed orders to the guests, clearing tables, serving wine and beverages and generally making sure all guest needs are adhered to at all times.

Closing Procedures – cleaning duties, which include hovering, clearing breakfast and dinner tables and buffet tables, polishing, ironing table cloths, cleaning windows, furniture and making the restaurant generally presentable to our guests.

To ensure appropriate level’s of guest care are delivered at all times.

Previous experience preferred.

PASTRY Chef de Partie

Pastry Chef de Partie

to join our fine dining manor house culinary team.

As Pastry Chef de Partie you will ideally have previous experience in all aspects of the pastry section including banqueting, afternoon tea, baking, breads and plating desserts in a 4/5* establishment; be talented, creative and have a genuine passion for food.
 

Key Responsibilities: 

Contribute to the production of food items in accordance with instructions from the Pastry Chef, Head Chef & Sous Chef.

Be knowledgeable of the day's business, i.e. know what reservations are booked in to the F&B outlets, be aware of outside events that will impact directly on business, etc.

Be familiar with the menu and with any "specials" of the day.

Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion.

Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen/buffet are prepared to the approved standard of presentation.

Avoid unnecessary wastage, to observe proper portion planning and control and to act in a cost effective, responsible manner.

Ensure excellent food hygiene practice is observed in the entire food chain from storage through to preparation and service.

Ensure HACCP compliance within the kitchen and all Food & Beverage outlets.

Ensure the kitchen equipment is in working order; report any maintenance issues to your supervisor.

The ideal candidate for this position:

Must have previous experience in a similar position

Must be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service

Must be standards driven and detail-orientated

Must have the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment

Must be flexible with regards to hours

Must have a good command of the English Language

Must have excellent self-presentation

Should have detailed knowledge of HACCP

Should have relevant professional qualification
