The Oak Room

Limerick’s first Michelin Star restaurant

A golf course view with a pristine green, a sand bunker, and trees in the background under a clear blue sky.

The Oak Room tasting menu is open to residents and non-residents, Wednesday through Sunday, subject to availability.

Our Michelin star restaurant, The Oak Room at Adare Manor welcomes you to a showcase of the best produce from our travels around the four corners of this island. Head Chef Michael Tweedie and his team cook with restraint and according to the seasons in one of the most magical settings in Ireland. We work closely with our family of producers who we celebrate at the heart of our polished and relaxed dining experience.

Less than two years following its debut, The Oak Room received Michelin star recognition in October 2019, becoming the only starred restaurant in County Limerick. A handsome oak-panelled room that has always been the heart of the house, The Oak Room at Adare Manor was the original family dining room and, once again, it is where you are invited to enjoy food cooked with love and skill, sourced from throughout the island of Ireland.

Head Chef Michael Tweedie and his team create elegant seasonal tasting menus inspired by exceptional Irish ingredients. The community of growers, farmers, fishermen and producers celebrated in The Oak Room are from all four corners of the island — from as close by as the lush vegetable farms of Ballyneety and quail sourced locally from Birdhill; to the clean cold waters off the Connemara coast where Dooncastle oyster beds lie, and the wild hillsides of West Cork, the home of award-winning Durrus cheese.

A modern clubhouse with traditional architectural design, featuring large windows, manicured landscaping, and a blue sky backdrop. Located at Adare Manor, surrounded by lush greenery.
