Adare Manor are working in partnership with Imagine-ear on a series of projects to celebrate the history of Adare Manor and its recent restoration, refurbishment and expansion. Imagineear have created and produced multimedia tours for adults and children which explore the exterior of the Manor and its estate. The tours weave together the story of Adare Manor, the astonishing architectural transformation of an 18th century Georgian Mansion into a 19th century Neo Gothic Manor House and Adare Manor’s local and broader cultural history. Highlights of the tour include: interviews with those that lived and worked at the Manor, an interactive family tree and, for children, games and playful narrators that introduce friendly and not so friendly beasts along the way!
Imagineear have produced a short film to accompany the new displays in Adare Manor’s Museum. The film uses newly researched artefacts and archival material to explore the historic interiors of Adare Manor and key episodes in its history. Imagineear has co-curated the Museum displays which bring to life the Earls of Dunraven, their families and their guests: from prominent politicians to members of the Royal Family. We look forward to sharing the stories from our vast history with our guests when we reopen in the Autumn.
