Lough Gur Storytelling Festival

- A weekend celebration of the art of storytelling with traditional music, drama and poetry. Events for adults and children. Each year the organisers manage to bring a quality programme and performers with a difference, and the 2009 programme promises to top previous years by bringing new and exciting performances and variety. Lough Gur is an ideal setting for this type of festival, as the area is steeped in legend and folklore. The superb facilities of the Honey Fitz theatre, with comfortable, tiered seating and the prehistoric atmosphere of the Interpretive Centre at Lakefront are ideal venues for all - both young and old - to participate and enjoy the events.
