- The Harlem Globetrotters are a worldwide icon, synonymous with family entertainment and great basketball skills. Abe Saperstein founded the team in 1926 and they played their first road game in Hinkley, Illinois on January 7th 1927. Ireland v Barbarians
Ireland will take on the Barbarians in Thomond Park on June 4th 2010 (KO 19.45)
This will be the first time that Ireland has played the Barbarians in Ireland since 2000. The most recent meeting between the two sides also coincided with the last Southern Hemisphere tour Ireland undertook in 2008 when Ireland played the Barbarians in Gloucester, winning the game 39-14.
