  • Paul Brady, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is one of Ireland's most enduringly popular artists with numerous hit singles and albums to his name - Nobody Knows, Oh What A World, The Long Goodbye to name but a few. Back in 2001 Paul undertook a record-breaking run at Dublin's Vicar Street playing 23 sold out shows during which he revisited some of his extensive repertoire and was joined on stage by several of the many artists he has worked wtih over the previous thirty years including Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler, Bonnie Raitt, Ronan Keating, Curtis Stigers, Sinead O'Connor and Mary Black. In the past few years Paul Brady has been honoured with Lifetime Achievement awards from IRMA (Irish Recorded Music Association), The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters and BBC Radio 2's Folk Awards. The Fleadh committee also caters for the artistic side and is involved with the local schools in running an art competition and they also provide opportunities for story tellers to come and share their pearls of wisdom!! This weekend is for everybody; those blessed with talent and ability to play an instrument or sing and those who have an appreciation of traditional Irish music in its purest form.
