Adare Golf Course Tour
Hole 1 - Par 4
A superb challenge. Described as one of the finest opening holes in golf. Demands a good drive down the left side of the fairway to provide the best chance of hitting this severely sloped green.
Hole 2 - Par 4
This par four requires your drive down the right side. Beware of the wind from the right for the second shot. A long to mid iron is required to hit this green.
Hole 3 - Par 4
Slight dogleg left, a hole where precision is required, anything too far right and your staring at a bogey. Now you're hitting into a slightly elevated green where the ball tends to fall to the right.
Hole 4 - Par 3
The first of the four challenging par 3's at Adare, although at index 17 this hole poses it's own dangers with the river Maigue to the back and a large gently sloping green awaiting the tee shot.
Hole 5 - Par 4
The tee shot on this index 1 uphill par 4 must be considered for the big hitter; a long draw taking on the bunker on the right hand side of the fairway will set up an ideal approach shot.
Hole 6 - Par 3
A superb downhill par 3. The optimum tee shot is to the right hand side of this very deep green, which is dictated by a severe swale. This could be one of the biggest breaking putts on the course.
Hole 7 - Par 5
The first of the par 5's. Do not bite off more then you can chew with the drive! The carry is deceptively long. The 14 acre lake awaits any errant drive.
Hole 8 - Par 4
A nice draw off the manor house will leave you in prime position to attack this exposed elevated and undulating green.
Hole 9 - Par 5
Get the camera out. The manor house serves as a magnificent backdrop to a straight away par 5.
Hole 10 - Par 4
Your drive should be to the left half of the fairway. A precise second shot is required to a narrow guarded green, any shot bouncing off the far left edge of the green will kick towards the water.
Hole 11 - Par 3
A picturesque par 3 across the river Maigue to a long green guarded by bunkers. Any shot to the right of this green and your swimming.
Hole 12 - Par 5
An uphill par 5 with a double dogleg to the left. Drive should be played to the right of the bunker where a large landing area awaits.
Hole 13 - Par 4
Recently included in "Irelands Best 18 Holes of Golf" for its sheer beauty and shot making requirement this tree line dogleg right requires your Sunday best.
Hole 14 - Par 4
A dogleg left to an exposed elevated green protected by bunkers and water to the right.
Hole 15 - Par 4
The shortest of the par 4's with the tidal river Maigue running down right. A drive at the left green side bunker will afford the easiest approach to the green being overlooked by the Manor House.
Hole 16 - Par
If your in between clubs here go for the longer one. A little long is no problem, a little short and a watery grave awaits. A par on this hole will make even a pro smile.
Hole 17 - Par 4
A Straightaway tree lined par 4 with an accurate approach required to a long narrow firm green. Being long or left will force a difficult recovery shot.
Hole 18 - Par 5
Our Signature hole is described as one of the finest finishing pars 5's in golf with the majestic river Maigue flowing alongside the fairway.
